Evelyn has had a love for drama, musical theatre and singing since a young age. She was honoured to secure a place at the BRIT School, where she studied musical theatre alongside classical singing tuition. Evelyn later studied sociology, which sparked an interest in supporting marginalised people to overcome barriers and lead fulfilling lives. Evelyn went on to train as a psychotherapist, and she has worked in a wide range of settings supporting people with complex needs, providing support in colleges, prisons, hospitals and community groups. Nowadays her work is focused on helping people recover from trauma, providing 1-1 and group psychotherapy in a domestic abuse charity. Evelyn also loves teaching, and delivers training to social workers, police officers and teachers. She supplements her work by taking part in amateur performing arts wherever she can, performing with the BHOS Musical Theatre Choir and previously with LOS Musical Theatre and taking singing and acting classes. Evelyn passionately believes that the arts have great potential to build confidence, self-esteem and empathy in children and young people. Evelyn is thrilled to be volunteering with Drama Queens and she loves the ethos and supportive atmosphere in the classes.
