Leila Tasher

Teacher: Drama, Musical Theatre

Leila is a highly skilled versatile actor, singer, comedy and musical theatre performer and writer. She trained professionally at the Institute for Contemporary Theatre where she received a first degree honours in BA (Hons) performing arts. Her training has left her with a vast range of skills and experience that she cannot wait to share with you all.

Through being a freelance performer, Leila has performed locally in the Brighton Fringe since 2017, starting as ‘Soupy Sue’ in the Brighton Fringe 2017 Award-Winning Show Urinetown The Musical and has performed in Brighton’s well-known Christmas Carol over the years with TRUE STORY Theatre Company. Leila’s most recent credit was starring as Rosa la Tatula in the play, Divine Words, working with award winning Director Stephen Harper, former actor and director from the National Theatre and original cast member of War Horse. Leila also sings many regular gigs in Brighton and Hove.

Leila has recently set up her own Theatre Company – ‘Shouldn’t have said that Theatre Company’ in which the company are currently writing their debut show, set to be performed at the 2023 Brighton Fringe. Leila’s experience and expertise lie within Musical Theatre, Theatre, Voice Over and Acting for Screen. Leila has been a musical theatre and performing arts teacher for over 10 years and is so excited to explore and support the budding talent of Drama Queens and join the Drama Queens family!
